Leader Requirements

Leader Training

  • Each TeenStreet Leader (GAPyears, Coaches, M&Ms, Service Team – new OR returning), are required to attend Leader Training as well as complete Online Training, in order to be a Leader at TeenStreet Camp.
  • Leader Training covers Child Safety, NETgroups, TeenStreet info, Prayer, and the vital component of getting to know one another.

Emails and Social Media will inform you of the dates and locations available. If you are unable to attend a training, contact TeenStreet.AU@om.org to arrange an alternative site to attend training.

Bluecards

It is essential that every Leader has a current valid Bluecard (at least valid until Jul 19) – download this Blue Card application form to apply through TeenStreet. Even if you do not live in Qld, it is a requirement of the Qld government that you have a BlueCard.

Child Safety Training

Is an online system via ChildSafe, to be completed every two years by TeenStreet Leaders.

Following your registration:

  • If you have been a Leader at TeenStreet previously, you will receive an email with login details if you are required to complete the training in 2019.
  • If TS19 is your first TeenStreet, you are required to complete the training, and will be emailed the relevant information.

Buses

In 2019 we have a NEW booking system.

During Registration, you will be asked to select that you are interested in the bus to and/or from TeenStreet 2019. This is just to indicate your interest in catching a bus at this point. It is NOT a confirmation that you are booked onto the TeenStreet Bus.

We have a new system for Buses in 2019 and will send an email to everyone (parents and participants) after rego closes (June 9). At this point you will be able to book and pay for your chosen bus – and please note that there are limited places.

Cost: $10 per Teen per journey

Pick up and drop off location will be announced closer to TS19!
